International Conference on “Synergies in Research: A Multidisciplinary Approach to Contemporary Issues”

Rosary College of Commerce and Arts, Navelim-Goa, in association with Ateneo De Naga University, Philippines, organized a multidisciplinary international conference on “Synergies in Research: A Multidisciplinary Approach to Contemporary Issues” on 28th March 2026 in hybrid mode.
The conference began with registration followed by the inaugural session which included a prayer service, lighting of the lamp, introduction of the Chief Guest, and welcome address by the Principal, Prof. Heli M. Barretto. The Chief Guest also addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of research in solving contemporary issues.

The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Victor John M. Loquias, Ateneo De Naga University, Philippines, who provided valuable insights into interdisciplinary research and global academic trends. The conference included paper presentation sessions across various tracks such as Law, Computer Science & IT, Accounting & Finance, Mathematics & Statistics, and Management. These sessions helped participants understand different research approaches and topics.

Ms. Bushra Khan and Rudra Biswal, M. Com Part II students of VVM’s Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics, actively participated in the conference and attended various sessions. The plenary session by Mr. Rohit Salunke, Senior Data Scientist at Bloomberg, London, was particularly insightful and enhanced their understanding of practical data applications.

The conference was highly beneficial as it improved their research knowledge, analytical thinking, and exposure to academic research standards. Both participants received Participation Certificates for their involvement.
The conference concluded with a valedictory session including feedback from participants, address by the Principal and Chief Guest, and distribution of Best Paper Awards, followed by a vote of thanks. The students were guided by Assistant Professor Padma Shanbhag & Assistant Professor Marjina Shaikh.
