The TY Project Cell of the College, in association with its MoU Partner, Laghu Udhyog Bharath, organized a Project Guidance and Industry Interaction Session for students on 27th July 2026 from 9.30 a.m. to 10.45 a.m. in Hall 1. The primary objective of the session was to provide students undertaking academic projects with practical guidance and to help them establish a meaningful connection between their classroom learning, project work, and the real industrial and business environment.
The session brought together five renowned personalities from the fields of business, entrepreneurship, finance, industry, innovation, and market development. who shared their valuable experiences and insights with the students. The discussions focused on practical aspects directly relevant to students’ project work, including financial decision-making, market analysis, customer satisfaction, innovation, diversification, industrial operations, and identification of real-world business opportunities.
The resource persons were:
- CA Vibhor Keny (Alumni).
- Mohit Agarwal, Founder ofKyanite Industrial Technologies (Alumni).
- Rajeshwar Naidu, Founder & Business Leader, Faculty of the Arts Living, currently the State Teachers Coordinator.
- Arman Bankley, Director at AR-Mine’s Industries, Kakoda, Goa, and associated enterprises.
- Uttam Kumar, Founder and Director of UTTAM’S RAMAT PVT.LTD.
The speakers encouraged students to look beyond theoretical knowledge and develop projects that have practical relevance and real-world applicability. Students were guided to observe the functioning of businesses and industries, identify actual problems and opportunities, understand consumer and market behaviour, and connect these observations with their academic project topics. The interaction also highlighted the importance of conducting projects based on primary information, practical observations, field experiences, and interactions with industry stakeholders.
The session was attended by 220 students from the B.Com. and BBA(FS) programs, along with 15 faculty members, comprising 12 teachers from the B.Com. program and 3 teachers from the BBA(FS) program. The session was compered by Valencia Travassco and Joanisa Fernandes, SYBBA (FS) students, who introduced the resource persons. The Officiating Principal, Prof. Sanjay Sawant Dessai, addressed the gathering, while the Project Convener, Ms. Pretty Pereira, delivered the welcome address. Ms. Ashwini Devari and Ms. Saruka Kalgutkar served as the faculty in-charges for the session. The speakers were presented with potted plants.
Expected Outcome of the Activity:
- Enhance students’ ability to apply subject knowledge and theoretical concepts to practical project work.
- Develop research, analytical, and problem-solving skills through industry-oriented project learning.
Achievement of Course Outcome (CO):
These insights helped students understand how to select relevant project topics, identify industry-based problems, collect practical information, and connect theoretical concepts with actual business and industrial practices, thereby making their projects more meaningful, application-oriented, and industry-relevant.
