Teachers’ Day and Freshers’ Day

Students’ Council celebrated Teachers’ Day, Freshers’ Day, and Friendship Day with great enthusiasm on 6th September 2025 in the Multipurpose Hall. The occasion brought together faculty members, senior students, and freshers for a vibrant day filled with gratitude, joy, and meaningful interaction.

The programme commenced at 10:00 a.m. with the Teachers’ Day celebration. Students expressed their heartfelt appreciation towards their teachers through speeches, dance performances, and cultural acts. Interactive games and spot prizes for faculty members added a lively touch to the event. The celebration was a sincere gesture to acknowledge the dedication and invaluable contributions of teachers to the academic and personal growth of students.

The second segment of the programme was the Freshers’ Day celebration, aimed at welcoming the new batch of students into the college community. The event featured engaging cultural performances, fun-filled games, and spot prizes. A key highlight was the much-awaited Mr. and Miss Fresher Contest, which provided a platform for newcomers to showcase their talent and confidence. At the end of the contest, Mr. Nathan Fernandes was crowned Mr. Fresher, while Ms. Anca Barreto was crowned Miss Fresher, marking a memorable beginning to their journey at the college.

Parallelly, Friendship Day competitions were organized to further encourage creativity and bonding among students. Two events—Friendship Band Making and Muffin Decoration—saw enthusiastic participation, showcasing teamwork, innovation, and camaraderie.

The celebrations concluded with a lively DJ session where seniors and freshers came together to dance and celebrate, creating an atmosphere of unity and joy. The entire programme was seamlessly coordinated under the guidance of Ms. Delisha Rebello, Ms. Krupali Gauns Dessai, Ms. Rama Borkar, and Mr. Gajanan Haldankar (Convenor, Students’ Council), with strong support from student leaders Ms. Diya Borkar (LR), Mr. Krish Ballikar (GS) and Mr. Shivam Naik Gaonkar (Student Coordinator). The event successfully concluded by 1:30 p.m., leaving behind cherished memories for all participants.

Expected Outcome:

The celebration not only strengthened the bond between students and faculty but also provided a platform for freshers to integrate into the college community with confidence and enthusiasm. By combining gratitude, creativity, and interaction, the programme is expected to foster a sense of belonging, enhance student engagement, and promote a culture of unity and collaboration within the institution.
