Leading Cadet Ashitosh Mali represented our institution at the Inter Battalion Sports Shooting Championship held at Belagavi under the aegis of 28 Karnataka Battalion NCC on 12th and 13th May 2026.
Objectives of the Championship
- To promote shooting skills and marksmanship among NCC cadets.
- To encourage discipline, concentration, and confidence through competitive sports.
- To identify and nurture talented cadets for higher-level shooting competitions.
- To foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and interaction among cadets from different units.
The championship witnessed participation from 12 NCC units, bringing together 96 cadets from different units to showcase their shooting skills, discipline, and sportsmanship. A total of 8 cadets from Goa Directorate participated in the competition, including 4 Senior Division (SD) and 4 Senior Wing (SW) cadets.
During the championship, cadets underwent various shooting events and practical sessions under the supervision of trained instructors and officials. The event provided cadets with an opportunity to improve their precision, focus, and competitive spirit.
Outcome of the Championship
The Inter Battalion Sports Shooting Championship proved to be a valuable learning experience for all participating cadets. The championship enhanced the cadets’ shooting techniques, confidence, patience, and mental concentration. It also encouraged discipline, teamwork, and healthy competition among participants. The event motivated cadets to pursue excellence in sports shooting and helped in developing leadership qualities and sportsmanship. Overall, the championship was successful in promoting professionalism, camaraderie, and the spirit of NCC among cadets.
