The All India Nau Sainik Camp (AINSC) 2026, one of the most prestigious national-level camps of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), was organized by the Maharashtra Directorate on behalf of the Directorate General NCC at INS Shivaji, Lonavala, from 1st July to 12th July 2026. The camp brought together the best Naval Wing cadets from across the country to undergo advanced naval training, participate in competitive events, and strengthen the values of discipline, leadership, teamwork, and national integration.
The camp aimed to:
- Provide advanced naval training to selected NCC Naval Wing cadets.
- Conduct national-level competitions in seamanship, drill, firing, semaphore, boat pulling, and other naval disciplines.
- Enhance leadership qualities, discipline, and team spirit among cadets.
- Promote national integration by bringing together over 600 cadets representing different NCC Directorates.
The camp commenced with an opening ceremony, inaugurated by Commodore S. Parthiban, Station Commander, INS Shivaji, in the presence of senior commissioned officers. Throughout the camp, cadets underwent rigorous training and assessments in service subjects, practical naval skills, written examinations, and synchronized drill competitions. The camp concluded with a grand closing ceremony and prize distribution, where banners, medals, and trophies were presented by Major General Vivek Tyagi, Additional Director General (ADG), NCC, along with Commodore S. Parthiban.
In addition to competitive events, the camp featured several educational and personality development sessions. Experts delivered lectures on the Skill India Mission, career opportunities in the Merchant Navy, and guidance on the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview process. Daily Yoga and Wellness Sessions were conducted to promote physical fitness, mental resilience, and stress management among cadets.
The camp was honoured by visits from several distinguished military personalities, including Param Vir Chakra awardee Captain Yogendra Singh Yadav, who inspired cadets through his motivational address on courage, discipline, and service to the nation. Shaurya Chakra awardee Lieutenant Commander Dilna K. shared her experiences in naval operations, encouraging cadets to pursue careers in the Armed Forces. The camp was also inspected by Lieutenant General Virendra Vats, YSM, SM, VSM, Director General NCC, while Major General Vivek Tyagi and Commodore S. Parthiban presided over the valedictory function. Senior Group Captains and commissioned naval officers interacted with cadets throughout the camp, providing valuable guidance and mentorship.
The camp witnessed spirited competition across demanding naval disciplines including Boat Pulling, Drill, Semaphore (Visual Signaling), Firing, Seamanship, and Ship Modelling, reflecting the challenges of life at sea. Cadets also received practical exposure to drone operations, cyber security, maritime navigation, firefighting and damage control, survival at sea, communication procedures, naval leadership, and seamanship through interactive sessions conducted by experienced naval personnel.
VVM’s Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics was proudly represented by Senior Division Leading Cadet Praveen Kumar, who participated in the prestigious national camp and actively competed in Boat Pulling, Drill, Semaphore (Visual Signaling), Firing, and Ship Modelling. His participation at the national level brought recognition to the institution and provided valuable exposure to advanced naval training and leadership development.
The successful completion of AINSC 2026 strengthened the cadets’ professional competence, leadership qualities, discipline, and spirit of national integration while preparing them for future opportunities in the armed forces and maritime services.
