Management Day: “The Indian Century: Managing Growth with Transformation”

The Department of Management Studies, in collaboration with the Goa Management Association, organized “Management Day” on 21/02/2024. This event aimed to provide a platform for students to present a presentation centered around the theme “The Indian Century: Managing Growth with Transformation.” Seven colleges from Goa, viz. Saraswat College, Dempo College, Don Bosco College, Goa Multi Faculty College, MES College, Rosary College, and Xavier College, participated actively in the competition.

The event commenced with a warm welcome extended to all participants, faculty members, and dignitaries present. Mr. Rajesh Mehrotra, Vice President of the Goa Management Association, graced the occasion as the Chief guest, imparting valuable insights and encouragement to the participants.

The students from the participating colleges showcased their intellect and creativity through presentations on various topics aligned with the theme. Each team demonstrated a sound understanding of contemporary management challenges and proposed innovative solutions for managing growth amidst transformation, which was followed by a Q & A session. The Judging panel comprised esteemed personalities from the field of management, viz. Mr. G. M. K Venkata Rao and Mr. Vasu Ramanujam. Their expertise and discernment ensured fair evaluation and recognition of the participants’ efforts. Mr. Datta Naik graced the occasion as the Chief Guest for the Valedictory function, commending the participants for their dedication and commendable presentations.

After rigorous evaluation, Don Bosco College, Panjim, emerged as the deserving winners of the competition and Rosary College stood as the runners up. The Management Day event served as a platform for the talent and potential present within the academic institutions of Goa.
