St. Xavier’s College of Commerce Mapusa, Goa, organized an inter-collegiate event ARENA, specifically for B.Com students on 20th February 2024. The event aimed to provide a platform for students to showcase their skills, talents, and knowledge in various fields related to commerce. Seven colleges participated in the event, with each team given a unique team name to represent their institution.
Shree Damodar College actively participated in the event, with a team of 10 students along with two additional students for assistance. The participating students were Soham Gharse, Sathvik Satardekar, Aneesh Sadhale, Mayank Jalora, Shreeyash Sinai Dalal, Tanvi Tengse, Tanisha Naik, Advaith Ainapur, Arya Kamat, and Shambhavi Naik Gaunkar, Omkar Kedar and Sahil Khanvilkar accompanied by Assistant Professor Akshada Gaonkar. The team was enthusiastic and well-prepared to compete in various challenges. The ARENA event comprised multiple competitions to test the students’ abilities in different areas. The Damodar College team, known as “Trade Warriors,” showcased exceptional skills and determination throughout the day. The event included competitions such as Inception, Eye Delight, Lets Ad it up, Voice it out, We’re Hiring, Art Attack, Treasure hunt, Shark Tank, Negocio, The Crown and a Surprise event.
Damodar College emerged victorious in ARENA 2024, showcasing outstanding performance in various competitions. The following students from Damodar College secured first place in their respective events:
- Eye Delight Event: Mayank Jalora
- Shark Tank: Shreeyash Sinai Dalal and Tanvi Tengse
- Digital Art: Sathvik Satardekar
- Voice it Out: Arya Kamat
As the overall winners of ARENA 2024, Damodar College received a trophy and a cash prize of ₹15,000 for the team. The achievement reflects the dedication and hard work put in by the students and faculty members.
The ARENA event organized by Xavier College Mapusa, provided an excellent platform for B.Com students to showcase their talents and skills. Damodar College’s remarkable performance and ultimate victory in ARENA 2024 underscored the institution’s commitment to nurturing talent and promoting excellence among its students. The event was coordinated by Dr.Shami Pai, B.Com Programme Coordinator. Ms. Akshada Gaonkar and Ms. Kalpana Parab, faculty members of Shree Damodar College, were the teachers in charge.
