Guest Lecture on Practical Aspects & Career Opportunities in Cost & Management Accounting

The Department of Management Studies organised a Guest Lecture for the students of SY BBA(FS) A & B as a part of the course Cost & Management Accounting on the topic “Practical Aspects & Career Opportunities in Cost & Management Accounting” on 24th February 2023 from 10.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. CMA Vikrant Malik, Assistant Manager (Costing), Zuari Agro Chemicals Ltd. was invited as the Resource Person for the session. The objective of this session was to provide the students with the exposure of career options in Cost & Management accounting and provide them with career guidance in this field.

At the beginning of the session, Ms. Sushrusha Naik Khandekar welcomed the students and introduced the Resource Person. CMA Vikrant Malik, began the session by interacting with the students about their career goals. He introduced the students with Cost & Management Accountancy as a career option. CMA Malik explained the course structure and the procedure to apply for the CMA Examinations to the students.  He also guided the students about the course and how to register, the institution that provide the course, fees associated with the course, career opportunities, etc. He also shared his experiences of becoming a Cost & Management Accountant. Towards the end of the session, Mr. Malik addressed the queries raised by the students. Ms. Fenisa, student from SY BBA(FS) A proposed the Vote of Thanks. The session was informative, interactive and the attendees expressed an understanding of the specialization in Cost & Management accounting as a career choice.
