The Staff Recreation Club and Staff Welfare Club of the College organized a vibrant celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi on 11th September 2025, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Hall-1. The event was marked with great enthusiasm, devotion, and active participation from both teaching and non-teaching staff, bringing everyone together in the spirit of tradition and festivity.
The program was compered by Ms. Sameera Vengurlekar, Assistant Professor in Computer Science, who began with an insightful introduction on the significance of Ganesh Chaturthi and its cultural importance.
A major highlight of the celebration was the Ganesh Sweets Display Competition, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from six contestants. The competition was judged by Dr. Shami Pai and Ms. Shruti S. Nayak. The winners were:
- 1st Place: Asst. Prof. Padma Shanbhag
- 2nd Place: Ms. Nikhita N. Mayekar
- 3rd Place: Asst. Prof. Adarsh Haibatti
In addition to the competition, the program featured fun games organized by Ms. Akshada Gaonkar and Ms. Sushrusha Naik Khandekar, and spot prizes coordinated by Ms. Krupali Gauns Dessai, which created a lively and interactive atmosphere. These activities brought joy and excitement among the staff, further elevating the festive spirit.
The event concluded at 1:30 p.m. with an overwhelming sense of joy, unity, and appreciation for the organizers. It concluded on a cheerful note, with refreshments shared among the staff.
