The BBA(Financial Services) Programme, in collaboration with the Alumni Engagement Cell & Alumni Association and the E-Cell & Incubation Centre, organized a session under Alma Meta series on the topic “Exploring Career Pathways in the Insurance Sector” on 6th October 2025 in Room F-406 at 11:15 a.m. The session was conducted by Mr. Uddhav Talkatkar, Associate Agency Development Manager – Axis Max Life Insurance Company and alumnus of the BBA(FS) Programme, who shared valuable insights into the company’s operations, career prospects, and professional development opportunities.
Mr. Uddhav began by introducing Axis Max Life Insurance Company, emphasizing its mission to promote financial security and growth. He elaborated on the multiple career avenues available for students within the organization, particularly highlighting the benefits of joining as an advisor. The company provides free training on essential professional skills, including advanced negotiation and communication techniques, which are vital for success in client relationship management.
A key highlight of the session was the discussion on incentives and career progression. Advisors who successfully complete the training receive an additional ₹10,000, demonstrating the company’s commitment to employee growth and motivation. Mr. Uddhav also introduced the “MRP” concept, where M stands for Money (commission-based income), R for Rewards and Recognition, and P for Promotion, explaining how this framework supports professional advancement within the organization.
In addition to commissions and performance-based incentives, Mr. Uddhav mentioned international trips and recognition programs for high-achieving advisors. He also explained the IRDA examination requirement, which ensures that all advisors meet industry standards of knowledge and professionalism.
