The Faculty Development Cell of the College organized a Faculty Induction Program on 17th July 2026 to formally welcome and introduce the newly appointed faculty members to the institution. The session was delivered by the Campus Director Prof. Prita D. Mallya, Officiating Principal Prof. Sanjay Sawant Dessai, and Office staff Ms. Teja Mayekar.
The College Campus Director, Prof. Prita D. Mallya, acquainted the newly inducted faculty members with the history of Vidya Vikas Mandal, its vision, mission, strategic philosophy, core values, and governance structure, including the Board of Management, Board Members, and College Governing Council, highlighting the institution’s commitment to academic excellence.
The Principal highlighted the governance structure and organizational hierarchy of the college. Further the newly inducted faculty members were also introduced to institutional policies, code of conduct, professional ethics, academic integrity, mentoring system, faculty buddy system, faculty development initiatives, and expectations regarding teaching-learning practices.
Ms. Nikita Mayekar, Office Staff, briefed the faculty members on leave procedures, institutional email usage, DHE Samarth portal, Asterix HR software and other administrative procedures.
The program concluded with an interactive session during which the newly inducted faculty members clarified their queries regarding academic and administrative processes.
Expected Outcome of the Activity:
- Familiarize newly appointed faculty members with the institution’s vision, mission, governance, and organizational structure.
- Develop awareness regarding institutional policies, academic responsibilities, and professional ethics.
- Enable faculty members to understand administrative procedures, HR systems, and digital platforms.
Achievement of Program Outcome (PO):
- The Faculty Induction Program successfully oriented the newly appointed faculty members towards the institutional culture, governance, academic expectations, quality assurance practices, and administrative procedures.
The program enhanced their understanding of professional responsibilities and institutional values.
