The College successfully organized a Campus Connect Meet titled “Join Us to Explore Your Career Options” on 6th April, 2026 from 9:00 am onwards with the objective of engaging prospective students and their parents, and providing them with comprehensive insights into the academic environment, programmes, and career pathways offered by the institution. The sessions were held separately by all the programs offered by the college.
The BCom presentation sessions were conducted in two batches; faculty members introduced students to the unique strengths of the institution. The sessions were led by Ms. Samiksha Vengurlekar and Dr. Lizette D’Costa for the first batch, and by Mr. Gajanan Haldankar and Ms. Sheryl Sanches for the second batch. The presentation highlighted the advantages of choosing the institution, with a detailed overview of the B.Com programme. It also emphasized industry collaborations, mentorship initiatives, guest lecture series, alumni engagement, and various student-centric events. Special attention was given to the college infrastructure, including well-equipped labs, a resourceful library along with digital access facilities, and campus-wide Wi-Fi connectivity. The second segment involved a guided campus tour, where students were divided into three groups, each accompanied by faculty members. The groups were guided by Mr. Sandesh Gaonkar and Mr. Sanjay Velip; Ms. Pretty Pereira and Ms. Krupali Gauns Desai; and Ms. Kalpana Parab along with Ms. Preity Fernandes. During the tour, students were taken around key facilities of the campus such as the multipurpose hall, canteen and Co-operative society, gymnasium, counselling room, library, staff room, and classrooms. This provided them with a firsthand experience of the campus environment and student life. BBA(Financial Services) Programme was presented as an industry-aligned and NEP-compliant course designed to bridge the skill gap in the rapidly growing financial services sector. The structure of the programme, including its duration, multiple exit options (Certificate, Diploma, Degree, and Honours), and multidisciplinary approach, was explained in detail. An engaging ice-breaker activity encouraged students to think about financial decision-making, such as saving, spending, investing, and entrepreneurship. Various career opportunities were presented, including roles such as Investment Banker, Financial Analyst, Wealth Manager, Risk Manager, and FinTech Professional. Information regarding professional courses like CA, CS, CFA, MBA (Finance), and FRM was shared to guide students in planning their future careers. Following the session, the participants were taken on a guided campus tour to familiarize them with the infrastructure and facilities available. The tour included classrooms equipped with smart TVs, Wi-Fi, and audio-visual systems, as well as activity halls, canteen and cafeteria, computer labs, and the multipurpose hall, which includes facilities like a wooden badminton court. Students were also introduced to additional facilities such as the mini gym, consumer society. The BCA amd BVoc presentation sessions were handled by Ms. Rama Borkar and Mr. Andre Pacheco, while Mr. Samira Vengurlekar and Ms. Annette Santimano handled Session II. The participants were briefed about the Department of Computer Science, programme highlights, structure, fees, and admission procedures. Details regarding the BCA entrance test and merit list were explained, while for B.Voc (Software Technologies), the admission process through Personal Interaction was clarified. The campus tour was conducted by Mr. Sameer Patil and Ms. Yugandhara Joshi in Session I, and by Mr. Sumit Kumar and Mr. Clayton Araujo in Session II, during which the participants visited the classrooms, computer laboratories, hall, and library. A help desk managed by Mr. Sarth Shanbhag, Mr. Amogh Pai Raiturkar, and Ms. Deepti Kulkarni assisted students and parents in both sessions by addressing queries related to the programmes, admission formalities, and documentation. The programme was well received and proved effective in creating awareness about both programmes and strengthening the institution’s outreach efforts. Overall, the Campus Connect session, followed by the campus tour, was informative and engaging. It successfully provided students with a clear understanding of all the Programmes, career prospects in the services industry, and the facilities available at the institution. |
