The Department of Management Studies, in association with the Department of Library, organized an informative session titled “An Orientation on Library Resources” for the FY BBA(FS) students under the Deeksharambh Programme. The session aimed to familiarize the participants with the various resources, facilities, and services offered by the college library to enhance their academic and research activities.
The orientation was conducted by Ms. Manasi Rege, College Librarian, and Ms. Ravila Talaulikar They provided an in-depth overview of the library’s physical and digital resources, including reference books, journals, e-books, online databases, and research support services. During the session, students were guided on how to effectively utilize the online library system through college website, access e-resources, and make the most of library facilities for academic projects and research. Practical demonstrations were given on searching for resources and borrowing procedures, ensuring that students can independently navigate the library’s offerings. The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer segment, where students clarified their queries regarding the use of digital platforms and research databases. The orientation proved to be highly beneficial, equipping the students with the necessary knowledge to maximize the use of the library for their academic growth. The Department of Management Studies expressed its gratitude to Ms. Manasi Rege and Ms. Ravila Talaulikar for their valuable guidance and for conducting a highly insightful session for the students.
Towards the end of the orientation, the students were also given a tour of the college library, to familiarize them with the resources and procedures. Total 88 students attended this session.
Expected Outcome of the Activity: After completion of the course, the students will be aware about the library resources and will be expected to make enhanced use both offline and online library resources of the college.
