Webinar on ‘E-Marketing: Innovative Trends And Strategies in Challenging Times’

The BBA(Financial Services) Department  organized a webinar on ‘E-Marketing: Innovative Trends and Strategies in Challenging Times’ on Saturday, 21st May 2022 from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. over Google Meet. 20 participants attended the same. The webinar was screened live in the BBA(FS) classroom for the benefit of SY BBA(FS) students, 26 SY BBA(FS) students attended the same. A total of 36 participants attended the webinar.

The webinar was compered by Ms. Sanchia Patricia Da Costa, student of SY BBA(FS) – B. She commenced the webinar with a brief introductory note on the rationale of e-marketing. The virtual gathering was welcomed by Dr. Rodney D’Silva, Vice-Principal of the College. Ms. Sanchia introduced the Resource Person Mr. Viraj Hede. Mr. Viraj is a reputed entrepreneur in Margao, having known for his two innovative startups – “Chef Slicy’s” and “Toffee Doodle”. He is an alumnus of the prestigious Goa Institute of Management, Sanquelim.

The Resource Person initiated his discussion by providing insights on e-marketing with special reference to his entrepreneurial startups.  Mr. Viraj elaborately discussed the trends in e-marketing like social media marketing, content marketing, search engine optimization, web analytics, voice search, customer experience, conversion rate, artificial intelligence, machine learning, QR codes, video marketing, influencer marketing, metaverse, augmented reality, programmatic advertising, chatbots, personalization, marketing automation, micro-influencers, geofencing, quora marketing, social media stories, omnichannel marketing, personalized pop-ups, progressive web apps, interactive content, browser push notifications, personalized SMS marketing, etc. He made the session more interactive by providing several practical examples. Mr. Viraj continued the session by discussing the e-marketing strategies in challenging times. Few being campaigns to focus on WFH products, focusing on feeding customers’ curiosity, exclusive discounts, launching a re-targeting campaign, etc.

Mr. Hede eloquently responded to all the questions raised by the participants. Ms. Sanchia Patricia Da Costa, student of SY BBA(FS) – B class proposed the Vote of Thanks. The webinar was Coordinated by Asst. Prof. Mayuresh Adsul.
