TechTrendz Club, Department of Computer Science

The TechTrendz Club of the Department of Computer Science successfully organized an Orientation Session for the First-Year students of BCA and BVoc. (Software Technologies) on 4th July 2025. The session commenced at 11:45 AM and was conducted across three classrooms: F-101, S-201, and S-202.

The primary objective of the orientation was to introduce the students to the TechTrendz Club – the Student Technology Club of the department. The session aimed to familiarize the students with the club’s vision, objectives, and a wide range of events and activities conducted in previous academic years.

During the session, students were informed about the points system used to evaluate student participation throughout the year, which contributes to selecting the ‘Tech Wizard of the Year.’ They were also briefed about the various awards presented during the annual TechTrendz Club Prize Distribution Function.

The session was conducted by Ms. Annette Santimano and Ms. Yugandhara Joshi, faculty in-charges of the TechTrendz Club, along with Ms. Sweta P. Shet Verenkar, Programme Coordinator for BCA and BVoc.(ST).

A total of 100 enthusiastic students from the BCA and BVoc.(ST) programmes attended the orientation and actively engaged with the speakers, gaining valuable insights into the opportunities offered by the club.

The orientation session helped students gain a clear understanding of the TechTrendz Club’s objectives, structure, and the range of events conducted in previous years. It familiarized them with the point-based system used to evaluate participation for awards such as the ‘Tech Wizard of the Year’ and highlighted the various incentives and recognitions offered. The session aimed to encourage active participation, strengthen student-faculty interaction, and foster a sense of belonging among first-year students, motivating them to engage in the club’s activities throughout the academic year.
