Report on Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Aditya Birla Education Trust (ABET)

The College entered into an MoU with Aditya Birla Education Trust (ABET) on January 12, 2024, for its initiative MPower. Through Mpower, ABET aims to alleviate the stigma related to mental illness, advocate prevention and provide services to people afflicted with mental health problems/illnesses. ABET has reached out to Higher Education Institutions around the country to propose the setting up of Mental Health Clubs and involving a group of interested students in creating awareness about mental health issues. Realizing the increase in mental health problems among students, the College and MPower have mutually agreed to collaborate and set up a Mental Health Club at the college to promote mental health among students. The Mental Health Club will be run by college students for college students under the supervision of MPower.

The MoU was signed by Principal Prof. Prita D. Mallya and Ms. Parveen Shaikh, Vice President-Operations-ABET on January 12, 2024. The exchange of the signed MoUs took place on February 16, 2024, when Ms. Reena Narang, Manager – Collaboration (Colleges), ABET, visited the College for the purpose.
