KYC – Know Your Colleague

The Know Your Colleague programme was organized with the aim of fostering good workplace relations, boosting team spirit, and helping staff members, especially new joiners connect with one another in a relaxed and informal setting.

The event commenced with an energetic introduction by Ms. Swati Bhat, Assistant Professor, who served as the compere for the session. Her engaging presence set the tone for an interactive and joyful gathering.

Prof. Sanjay Sawant Dessai, Officiating Principal then delivered a welcome address, extending a warm greeting to all staff members and emphasizing the importance of collaboration and interpersonal relationships within the college.

The programme featured a series of interactive games and activities designed to encourage participation and team bonding:

  • Game 1: Name Your Colleagues
    Tailored for newly joined staff, this icebreaker encouraged participants to recall and name fellow colleagues out the photos displayed on the screen. It served as a fun way to help new staff familiarize themselves with others.
  • Game 2: Passing the Mystery Box
    A lively and unpredictable game where a mystery box was passed around while music played. When the music stopped, the person holding the box, the persons mentioned on the note picked from the note was eliminated, leading to many laughs and light-hearted moments.
  • Game 3: Crossword Puzzle – Know Your Staff
    Participants solved a customized crossword puzzle featuring clues related to staff members. This activity sparked curiosity and promoted learning about colleagues in a playful manner.

In between the games, spot prizes were awarded for enthusiastic participation and quick responses, adding an element of surprise and excitement to the event.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks proposed by Dr. Lina Sadekar, acknowledging the efforts of the organizing team and the enthusiastic participation of all teaching and non-teaching staff members.

Overall, Know Your Colleague programme was a resounding success, achieving its goal of strengthening connections among staff and creating a positive and inclusive workplace atmosphere.

Expected Outcome of the Activity: The foster cordial workplace relations between the teaching and non-teaching new and existing staff in the institution for improving the overall efficiency at workplace.
