BCom (Hons) Programme is a flagship programme of VVM’s Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics, Margao. The annual enrolment of the students in this programme is over 700 students. The BCom Programme is a 3 year (6 semesters) full time programme affiliated to Goa University and follows Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) offering an opportunity to the students of the Second Year and Third Year to choose from the various areas of specialisation such as Advanced Accounting, Business Management, Cost Accounting and Banking and Finance. BCom Programme is Damodar College is designed to enable and empower the students to acquire the required knowledge, skills and abilities to analyse the realities of the domain of business. It also aims at equipping the students to manage the organisations and to face the challenges of tomorrow.
The Goa University has decided to implement the UGC Curriculum and Credit Framework for the Undergraduate Programme (CCFUP) of Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 from the Academic Year 2023-2024 onwards. Accordingly First Year students will be under this. Curriculum and Credit Framework for the Undergraduate Programme (CCFUP) under NEP 2020 envisages the incorporation of a flexible choice based credit system, multidisciplinary approach with multiple entry and exit options, to facilitate students to pursue their career path by choosing the subject/field of their interest.
The duration of the programme will be of Four years/eight semesters with multiple entry and exit options.
